About Angela Cranmore
 |
Angela Cranmore read music at Oxford
where her main interest lay in choral singing. She was a member
of St. John's College chapel choir and a founder member of the
Tallis Scholars. Since discovering the viol, which she studied
with Alison Crum, she has played in many ensembles including
consort, continuo, and lyra viol.
She recorded the entire lyra viol output of Thomas Forde with
Brian Capleton, and has worked with the Royal Shakespeare
company in two of their productions, both in Stratford and on
tour in Newcastle and London, playing treble, tenor and bass
viols as required! She recently performed in Bach's St Matthew
Passion in Truro Cathedral.
