About Western Wynds and their
Programme
The recently formed
Western Wynds consort began life as a group of recorder
enthusiasts keen to explore the vast and varied repertoire, both
ancient and modern, that exists for this medium. The Consort has
previously performed at "The Great Malvern Recorder Day" and the
Elgar Trust. Their programmes include music for one, two, three
and four recorders, ranging in size from the familiar descant to
the two metre long Great Bass in F - a real giant!
